User Profile

What you'll learn
  • How to access your personal user profile and its three tabs
  • How to set your avatar, display name, and contact details
  • How to change your interface language and notification preferences
  • How to switch between light and dark mode

Your user profile contains your personal account information. It is separate from your employee profile within a company -- the user profile is tied to your login account, while the employee profile is specific to a particular company.

Accessing your profile

Open the account menu (your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar) and choose User settings. The profile is organized into three tabs:

TabWhat it coversURL
User settingsAvatar, display name, contact details, language, and notifications/user/profile?tab=profile
AuthenticationPassword and two-factor authentication -- see Security/user/profile?tab=authentication
ActivitiesRecent login activity and active sessions -- see Login Activity/user/profile?tab=activities

This page covers the User settings tab. After changing anything here, click Save at the top right to apply your changes.

Identity

The Identity card is how you appear to your team and across AutoTalk records.

  • Avatar -- Upload a picture (PNG, SVG, or JPG, up to 5 MB). Drop an image onto the uploader or browse from your computer. A square image around 256×256 looks best.
  • Display name -- The name shown in conversations, transcripts, and mentions.

Contact

The Contact card holds the channels used to sign in and reach you.

  • Email -- Your email is your sign-in identifier and is read only here; it cannot be changed from this screen. Use the copy button if you need it handy.
  • WhatsApp number -- A number where you can receive account alerts.

Preferences

Language

The Language field sets your preferred interface language. It controls the text displayed throughout AutoTalk, including menus, buttons, labels, and system messages.

  1. Open the User settings tab.
  2. Find the Language dropdown.
  3. Select your preferred language. Available options: ptBR (Brazilian Portuguese, default), en (English), es (Spanish).
  4. Click Save. The interface updates immediately.

The language setting is saved to your user profile, so it persists across sessions and devices.

Notifications

The Enable notifications toggle controls browser and device push notifications. When enabled, AutoTalk asks your browser for push permission and subscribes this device, so it can alert you about events such as new customer messages or conversations assigned to you, even when the tab is in the background. Turning it off unsubscribes the device. This setting does not affect the in-app notification badges, which always reflect unread items.

Switching between light and dark mode

AutoTalk supports two visual themes: light mode and dark mode. The theme toggle lives in the account menu (not inside the profile tabs), so you can switch any time.

  1. Open the account menu (your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar).
  2. Click the Dark mode / Light mode item to switch themes. The interface updates instantly.

When to use each theme

ThemeBest for
Light modeBright or well-lit environments. Provides high contrast for easy reading during daytime use. This is the default theme.
Dark modeLow-light environments or evening work sessions. Reduces screen brightness and can help reduce eye strain during extended use.

Your theme preference is saved in this browser and applies every time you open AutoTalk on this device.
