LLM Agents
- What AI agents are and how they help your business

AI Agents are LLM-powered automated assistants that handle customer conversations on your behalf. They use large language models (such as OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude, DeepSeek, or Google Gemini) to understand customer intent and respond naturally. AI agents can answer frequently asked questions, collect information, and hand off complex inquiries to a human team member. In AutoTalk, agents are managed from the Agents page, found under the Automations section of the sidebar.

How AI agents work
When a customer sends a message through one of your connected channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, webchat, etc.), an AI agent can intercept and respond automatically. The response is generated by a large language model, giving the agent the ability to handle open-ended, natural conversations.
You can configure agents to:
- Answer questions about your business, services, pricing, and availability
- Guide customers through booking appointments or filling out forms
- Collect contact details before routing the conversation to a human attendant
- Use function-calling tools to look up data, check calendars, or perform actions in external systems
Where to find agents in AutoTalk
Open Automations > Agents in the sidebar. The page lists all your configured agents, where you can create, edit, duplicate, or delete them.
