Storage Explorer

- Where to check how much storage and database space you are using
The Storage Explorer is your company's file manager. It holds everything your company stores in AutoTalk — media exchanged in conversations, manually uploaded files, and other assets — organized in folders. Open it from the top-level Storage item in the sidebar; the page is titled Explorer.
Browsing files
- Folders and breadcrumb — Open folders to drill down, and use the breadcrumb in the toolbar to jump back up. The current folder is reflected in the page URL, so folder views can be bookmarked and shared with teammates.
- Views — Switch between Tiles and Details (list) views.
- Sort — Order items by update time (Updated ↓/↑), name (Name A→Z/Z→A), or size (Size ↓/↑).
- Search — The "Filter in this folder…" box narrows the current folder to matching names.
- Preview — Click a file to open the side panel with a preview (images render inline) and file details.
Uploading files and creating folders
- Click Upload in the toolbar, or drag files from your computer onto the file area ("Drop files here to upload").
- Supported uploads are images, audio, video, and documents (PDF, Office files, plain text).
- Click New folder to create a folder in the current location.
Uploaded files count toward your storage usage — see Billing & Payments.
File and folder actions
Right-click a file (or open its ⋯ menu) for:
- Open / Open in new tab
- Download
- Copy URL and Copy object ref — grab a link or a storage reference to use elsewhere
- Rename
- Move to...
- Delete
Folders offer Open folder, New subfolder, Upload here, Download as ZIP, Rename, Move to..., and Delete.
You can also select multiple items: a bulk-actions bar appears with Download (as a ZIP), Move to..., and Delete, plus a select-all checkbox.
Deleting files is permanent. Files referenced by conversations or other records will no longer load after deletion.
Checking storage usage
Click the chart button in the Explorer's title bar to open the Storage usage page. It shows:
- Total used space versus your plan's limit, with a progress indicator and warnings as you approach the limit
- The number of files stored
- Charts breaking usage down by category (images, audios, videos, documents) and by purpose (chat media, manual uploads, and so on)
- The estimated daily storage cost when your subscription is pay-as-you-go
A matching Database usage view reports the space taken by your records (contacts, messages, and other data) against its own plan limit.
Storage and database space are billed per byte-day — see Usage Rates for the meter details.
