The Subscription section at the top of the Billing page ("Billing") shows all the key details about your current AutoTalk plan. Navigate to Billing > Subscription in the sidebar to view it.
Viewing your subscription
Your subscription summary displays the following information:
- Subscription ID -- A unique identifier for your subscription. Keep this handy if you ever need to contact support about a billing issue.
- Status -- The current state of your subscription (see the table below for all possible statuses).
- Plan -- Your current plan (Free or Pro).
Subscription statuses
| Status | Display name | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Active | "Active" | Your subscription is active and your plan renews automatically each billing cycle. |
| Cancelled | "Cancelled" | Your subscription has been cancelled. You retain access until the end of the current billing period. |
| Past due | "Past due" | A payment has failed. Update your payment method to restore your subscription. |
Upgrading and checkout
When you upgrade your plan, AutoTalk redirects you to a secure checkout page to complete payment.
- On the Billing page, click Upgrade.
- Select the plan you want.
- Complete payment on the secure checkout page.
- Return to AutoTalk after checkout finishes.
Once your subscription is active, the saved payment method is charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle.
Managing your subscription
Below the subscription summary, you will find the Subscription Settings button. Click it to:
- Update or change your payment method
- View or modify your billing details
- Cancel your subscription
- Reactivate a cancelled subscription (if still within the billing period)
- Open the secure customer portal for payment-related changes
Handling payment failures
If a payment fails:
- The charge is retried automatically for a limited period.
- Your subscription may move to Past due / Past due.
- You should open Subscription Settings and update the payment method.
- Once a valid payment method is on file, the outstanding charge is processed.
Invoices
The Invoices section on the Billing page provides a complete record of all charges made to your AutoTalk account. Navigate to Billing in the sidebar and scroll down to the Invoices section to review past payments and keep track of your billing history. Click the View all button to see your complete invoice history.
Every invoice in the list displays three key pieces of information:

| Status | Whether the payment was successful | "Paid" |
Check your invoices after each billing cycle to confirm that the correct amount was charged. If you recently upgraded or downgraded your plan, verify that the prorated amount appears correctly on your next invoice.
